Job Description

Summary

Join Our Team and Inspire Young Minds!

Are you passionate about early childhood education and nurturing young learners? Our small, private preschool is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our team!
As part of our vibrant and supportive environment, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the lives of children during their most important developmental years. If you’re committed to creating a nurturing, engaging classroom and making a lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you!

About Our Pre-K Program: Our Pre-K program consists of three classrooms, each serving 20 students. Every class is supported by a full-time assistant teacher, maintaining an excellent student-teacher ratio of 1:10. Teaching is guided by Georgia's state standards, with a focus on organic, portfolio-based assessments rather than standardized testing. Collaboration is a cornerstone of our program, with teachers regularly supporting each other in activities and lesson planning. Teachers are provided with at least one hour of uninterrupted planning time every day, along with 10-12 additional planning days throughout the school year. Educators have the autonomy to determine how to use their planning time, and administrative interruptions are minimal, ensuring a productive and focused environment.

About Quilla Academy: We are a small, private preschool offering a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners. Our Pre-K program is part of Georgia's state-funded Pre-K Program, providing high-quality early education aligned with state standards. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive, collaborative, and developmentally appropriate environment where both children and staff can thrive. Our preschool is defined by a commitment to open-minded, empathetic leadership, a celebration of diversity among staff, students, and families, and a strong emphasis on creating a collaborative, supportive environment where teachers are trusted, empowered, and valued.

School Mission Statement: Our mission is to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment where every child is empowered to explore, discover, and thrive. Through a balanced curriculum encompassing literacy, math, science, social studies, and the arts, we inspire a love for learning. We are dedicated to fostering physical well-being, emotional resilience, and social confidence, ensuring each child builds a strong foundation for lifelong success.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, values collaboration, and thrives in a supportive and empowering environment. They should be creative, adaptable, and committed to fostering a positive classroom atmosphere where every child can succeed. This position is ideal for recently retired educators, December graduates with an Early Childhood Education certificate, educators new to Georgia, or former teachers looking to reconnect with the joy of teaching.
